In the US, the sustainability landscape has reached a pivotal moment. With significant policy milestones – such as the Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) climate-related disclosure ruling and California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act, the time is right to convene and discuss the market’s critical environmental contribution.
CDP invites you to join our flagship US Workshop on May 23rd. The event will convene experts and leaders from the corporate, financial and public sectors to explore comprehensive insights into:
CDP's updated platform, offerings and direction
Impactful partnerships between public and private sectors and advancing exemplary environmental stewardship practices
Understanding key trends in nature from signposting and standard setting, and assessing the impact of financial institutions and companies on natural resources
Unlocking the potential of the EU Taxonomy and innovative solutions for private markets
Tackling supply chain emissions management challenges and fostering collaboration between financial institutions and companies
By engaging with CDP experts across multiple sectors and networking with sustainability peers and decision-makers, attendees will gain valuable insights and support to understand advances in disclosure and climate action.

Public sector entities are crucial partners in the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with successful efforts to do so benefiting communities worldwide. Additionally, there is growing recognition of the value public sector disclosure brings to the capital markets, enabling financial institutions to support the transition to a more sustainable economy. During this panel, municipal investors will discuss how they utilize climate disclosure from public sector entities to guide decision-making in their investment portfolios. Panelists from the financial services sector will also share their perspectives on the present state of municipal and sub-sovereign data and its anticipated role in the future.
This session will convene CDP corporate disclosers at all levels who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of how to implement necessary actions for environmental stewardship. With the help from Accredited Solutions Provider experts and the CDP Reporter Services team, this session will focus on transition plans, risk and opportunity reporting, net-zero, and supplier engagement and offer insight into best practices.
This session will also cover an overview of key changes on the horizon for the 2024 disclosure cycle.
This session will provide insight into the European Union Taxonomy which was integrated into CDP's questionnaire for the first time in 2023. Experts will provide a range of insights as to how North American companies can improve their reporting on these regulations, while also understanding how to unlock the potential of the EU Taxonomy as a tool to support their transition planning.
Private market companies, driven in great part by their investors, are increasingly focused on climate. For asset owners, this is a natural extension of portfolio financed emissions analysis in public markets. For fund managers, there is an opportunity within corporate value chains. The session will feature perspectives from various stakeholders, share best practices and identify innovative solutions to enhance investment strategies and decision-making in the ever-evolving landscape of private markets.
Public-private partnerships are crucial for cities to achieve emissions reduction goals. This session aims to highlight how the public and private sectors are collaborating to achieve the emissions reduction targets, including an understanding of how such partnerships are formed, types of action plans being introduced and incentives for all stakeholders involved. Panelists will provide guidance and tips, an overview of their unique efforts and coordinated climate actions, challenges and solutions and how public-private partnerships contribute to their near and long-term goals of climate security and inclusivity.
This session will convene CDP Supply Chain members and disclosers that are committed to reducing Scope 3 emissions. In this highly interactive workshop, participants will delve into collaborative avenues and insights for joint supplier engagement, industry and cross-industry initiatives and driving high-quality supplier disclosures for optimized decision-making in procurement. Supply Chain members will share their stories and experiences of collaborating with fellow members and their suppliers. This session will help define recommendations on how new forms of collaboration can improve supplier transparency, ambition and climate action, thus benefiting companies in achieving their net-zero targets.
This session will focus on the rapidly growing topic of nature and biodiversity. CDP will highlight relevant updates in its disclosure system, including linkages with the new framework from the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures. Companies and financial institutions will learn directly from industry leaders on implementing best practices in line with the global goal of halting and reversing nature loss by 2030. This session will conclude with facilitated breakouts whereby participants can engage directly with peers to exchange challenges and experiences in integrating climate and nature considerations, assessing nature impacts and dependencies, deploying nature positive solutions and more.
Please note: we will not be requiring masking or testing for this event. Optional masks and tests are available for attendees who would like to use them. All sessions will take place indoors. Please visit the New York City Department of Health COVID-19 site for more information related to COVID-19
